Narrative
The Supercenter will receive a 50 percent sales tax rebate until the site has received a total of $5 million. Previously, a retail strip center operated on the development site. The development agreement specified that Wal-Mart provide $50,000 in relocation assistance to each of 12 existing tenants of the shopping center. Citizens organized in opposition; however, a referendum to block the store was unsuccessful.
